Psychological Types and Model of Consciousness
An independent study of Carl Gustav Jung’s theory of psychological types and the nature of consciousness
This website presents an original model of consciousness based on Jung’s typology and extending it in a different direction.
The focus is on psychological attitudes (extraversion and introversion) and functions (sensation, intuition, feeling, and thinking). At the same time, the functions of sensation and intuition are understood differently, namely as the perception of invariants and the perception of changes.
The model describes not only stable relations but also the dynamics of consciousness. Psychological types are considered as a consequence of this dynamics.
The concepts of functions and their relations do not coincide with those used in MBTI and Socionics and are based on a different understanding of the psyche.
